2. Representation Of Social Groups

Click on the image to be directed to my Pinterest Board: Representation of Social Groups. The Pinterest Board show's the types of Social Groups which my I aim to portray in my opening movie whilst filming.

My film opening probably won't cover the ideas of race and sexuality but the film will cover gender as they're male and female characters in the movie. The age of characters will tend to be young, most likely in their 20s. The character of the private detective will likely be middle class whilst the woman is middle class coming from wealth and inheritance.

This photo shows two people with the profession as 'Forensics' for one of our scenes in our film opening. They feature in the Breaking News scene whilst being shot outside the back of the house where I murder took place and they are there to make the scene appear realistic and legitimate. The forensics are place in the background of the scene thoroughly at work whilst there is a news broadcast from a female presenter whom is placed in the right quadrant. They are both females and this emphasises the realism and modernisation of the film as in recent times women are now able to take up high paid and quality occupations including a forensic.

The photo on the right conveys a beautiful and elegant mother playing a grand piano. She is shown in the scene of the murder; this screenshot was taken before the crime was committed. The women is a representation of wealth through including things such as expensive jewellery and a piano and as well as being smartly portrayed. The strawberry blonde hair colour is a significant part in my film opening because the murderer takes a snippet of her hair and it features again later in the film to build suspense.

In the photo on the left there is a female news presenter dressed appropriately as there was wind whilst filming to conveniently make our broadcast seem more realistic. The women looks like your traditional well-dressed news broadcaster with a microphone in her grip to make the breaking news scene appear believable. The women is a representation of a middle-class person in our film with her hair swept out from her eyes so she can address those on the other end of the camera. She features in the same scene as the team of forensics do.

This is the final scene; the final scene consists of the main character who is a young and attractive teenage girl to appeal to a younger audience range. The teenage girl is presented in her pyjamas as she had just woken up in the morning and goes to collect post from her front door. The pink colour of her shirt stereotypically suggests that she is in touch with her feminine side. The girl is innocent and glamorous and is a typical representation of a modern teenager who leads the main role in our film opening.
